Building Forensics Group was hired to provide expert opinions on a $100M+ claim for a resort-wide mold and moisture problem. Our team completed a thorough mold and HVAC system assessment of the nearly 800-room resort, including guest room towers, restaurants, back of house areas, amenity spaces, and the spa. Providing a cost evaluation was a crucial part of the defense of our client, as we were able to clearly identify the causes of the claim and determine the appropriate amount of damages.

Thanks to our expert analysis, the claim was ultimately settled for less than 10% of the original amount. BFG was subsequently hired by the client to assist with improving their mold, moisture, and indoor air quality control policies and procedures. Our team was able to provide the expertise and guidance necessary to help the client prevent future mold and moisture problems and ensure the safety and health of their guests.
